Our vegetable CSA share is made up of 6-10 different types of vegetables per week (Spring is smaller, with 4-6 vegetables each week, and Winter is usually 6-7), with about a meal's worth of each vegetable. We think of our shares in terms of categories, and aim to have something from each of the following categories: a snack (carrots/snap peas), a cooking green (kale/spinach), salad fixins (lettuce/arugula), something substantial (potatoes/zucchini), an herb (basil/cilantro), an allium (onion/garlic), and tomatoes when in season.
We find that the amount of food is just right for families with small children who cook 3-4 nights per week, for couples who eat a lot of vegetables, or for families with older children who are using the CSA more for side dishes or lunches for the week. Families with bigger vegetable appetites can add additional veggies each week through our online store.

Footprint Farm is a Certified Organic and Real Organic vegetable farm in Starksboro, VT. We grow a diversity of vegetables, year-round with a focus on providing clean, nutrient dense, fresh and delicious produce to our immediate community. We put an extra focus on growing greens year-round, which are a common theme in our CSA shares. Our CSA is based on a weekly subscription program in which families sign up for a season of weekly vegetables, and many add "add-on" subscriptions from our partners (meat, eggs, fruit, cheese, bread and more). Families can also add "a la carte" items each week if they would like, and some go just this route by purchasing a Store-only Membership and ordering just on the weeks that fit their schedule.
We partner with GrownBy to help manage our CSA program, but if you have any questions at all about the CSA please feel free to reach out to csa@footprintfarmvt.com. We hope to see you at a CSA pickup this season.
