We are offering an additional distribution to all our CSA members: a Holiday Harvest Box. We're offering two size boxes, family and small, both a little larger than usual, but with several crops that can store potentially for up to a few months. We will distribute the boxes to the usual drop sites on either November 18 or November 20.
Here's a list of potential crops, exact composition to be determined, though it will be a balanced mix (family will receive 12 of these, and smalls will receive 9). Definitely in each of the boxes: onions, potatoes, butternut squash or pie pumpkins, garlic, carrots, cabbage, and celery. The other items depend on availability and may include: apples, broccoli, cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, bok choy, lettuce, salad mix, spinach, peppers, Swiss chard and/or kale, to be determined closer to the time. Quantities of each item will be similar to what you have been receiving all year.

At our new 25-acre farm, we work with community to grow food for the food bank and for customers. Teens participate in a job training/leadership program, learning how to grow over 40 types of vegetables and fruits. We sell about half our produce through an onsite produce stand, and a 180 member CSA, where we accept and match SNAP benefits and offer a sliding scale. We use organic soil amendments and practice regenerative techniques. We take care of the land and produce healthy, accessible food.
New this year is our Compost Tea at GrassRoots Garden on Coburg Rd., Eugene. It’s a brew teeming with microbes and nutrients for your garden plants and available up to 2x/month in gallon sizes.
