Silver medal winner at the American Cheese Society in 2022 and 2023 Alemar's Blue Earth American Brie is a bright, grassy, buttery and versatile Brie. Grass-fed Cows’ Milk Cheese. The two-and-a-half pound wheels allow the cheese to ripen slowly, creating a delicious alternative to our Bent River Camembert. Rich and smooth, Blue Earth reflects the fertile soils that dominate its namesake Blue Earth County. Blue Earth evolved and developed as Alemar Cheese grew. Alemar always had a few brie hoops around to catch leftover Bent River curd. With humble beginnings as leftovers, Blue Earth is all grown up, and its unique recipe creates a sweet and friendly counterpoint to the power and complexity of Bent River. The cheese is stored in a special paper that allows it to breathe. Please avoid plastic wrap! Store opened cheese in its original paper. Cheese is best consumed within a week of opening. Most importantly, unwrap the cheese and allow it to come to room temperature; at least a half-hour during warm months, an hour in the colder ones. Package: 1 Whole wheel (approximately 2.25 lbs.) or half wheel (approximately 1.12 lbs) Add any Alemar cheese to your CSA! Cheese orders are available for pickup in the first CSA delivery each month. Cheese orders MUST be placed by the last Friday of the month for delivery the next Wednesday. Not a CSA member? Cheese orders can be picked up on the farm. Ordering deadlines are the same.
