We currently are operating sixteen 80-foot long permanent in-ground raised-bed rows of mixed spring and summer fruits and vegetables. Our production model is a better-than-organic approach to small scale agriculture that includes no synthetic fertilizers and no pesticides (no herbicides, no insecticides, and no rodenticides). We use organic compost from local facilities and some produced on-site in our stack and box compost systems. We are mostly people-powered using limited mechanical tools, and battery-powered when possible.
We offer a Full-Season Share from mid April through mid October, and an Off-Season Share from early November through the end of January. During February, March, and the first half of April our soil is resting and getting ready for the next season.
If you have to miss a week, please feel free to have a friend or family member pick up and sign-off for your share.
Having consistent membership helps keep our costs and prices low. We prefer members commit to the entire full or off season membership to enjoy all the farm share has to offer and to make our production and operations more predictable. If, for some unforeseeable reason, you need to cancel, please email your farmer at agri.culture.nahas@gmail.com.
At this time, due to our relatively small operation and crew, we are not able to offer substitutions in your farm share, but we're sure you know someone that loves anything you don't. ;)
We also offer farm-fresh healthy eggs from happy hens all year round. Please see the separate product page for egg purchases.
