We'll deliver a produce box of fresh veggies & produce for 4 weeks to a family who has lost their SNAP/EBT benefits. Each box is $34 and delivery is $4. Total cost is $152 for the 4 weeks.
This box can feed a family of 5 and contains fresh produce from our farm in New Orleans East and at least 4 other local farms, totaling around 8 different items weekly.
Not only will your donation for a box support a family for a month, but your purchase also supports our local farmers who will be hit with less income from the minimization of this federal program.
We have a list of families in our community, but if you have a family you'd like to directly support, please reach out to maddiy@veggifarmcoop.com to share the families information.
