We freshly mill our whole grains on-site in small batches day-of pickup, ensuring maximum freshness and quality while preserving the natural oils and nutrients for a superior product. You will find that rye flour imparts a nutty, earthy, and slightly malty taste.
For bread baking, we recommend no more than 12% rye to achieve a regular rise. Fresh milled flour with no added preservatives or processing has a fridge life of a week or shelf life of three days. It is also slightly coarser than store bought flour.
