One of the earliest jalapeno peppers, these are great for ripening to red for hot sauce. Cylindrical fruits are of the smaller, traditional size (2-2 1/2") and have more checking than some varieties. Earlier to ripen, but lower yielding than a hybrid; a good bet in a cool or late season. Small plants. Harden off and plant outside once night time temperatures are consistently above 50 degrees. Grows well in the ground or in a container. If you are planting in a container, peppers benefit from having at least a 3 gallon bucket sized container for each plant. 60 days to harvest green; 80 to harvest red.
