Add-On (2026): Fruit Share
Description
Your taste buds will tell you the difference that abundant Colorado sunshine, water melted from alpine snow pack, and cool mountain nights can make to fruit that is harvested at the peak of perfection. This fruit share is meant for a family of 2-4 people, and members will receive fruit over 12 weeks from end of July through mid-October. Each share will total about 70 pounds of fruit and fresh apple cider (cider is during the last week only) by the end of the season. Types of fruits include peaches, plums, apples, and pears. Because harvest dates are dynamic, flexibility is required. However, if Ela Family Farms has any crop failure or shortage, they will include fruit from another certified organic, Colorado fruit grower. You can follow Ela Family Farms on Instagram. Anticipated Schedule: July 25/30 - Organic peaches Aug. 1/6 - Organic peaches and plums Aug. 8/13 - Organic peaches Aug. 15/20 - Organic peaches Aug. 22/27 - Organic peaches Aug. 29/Sept. 3 - Organic peaches or apples Sept. 5/10 - Two organic fruits: apples + (pears or plums or peaches) Sept. 12/17 - Two organic fruits: apples + (pears or plums or peaches) Sept. 19/24 - Two organic fruits: apples + (pears or plums) Sept. 26/Oct. 1 - Two organic fruits: apples + (pears or plums) Oct. 3/8 - Organic Honeycrisp apples Oct. 10/15 - Three organic fruit items: apples + (pears or plums) + apple cider. Cider is fresh, so it must be refrigerated and consumed within 4 days or so. Remaining cider can be frozen. It doesn’t go bad, it goes hard.
