We raise Painted Desert/Dorper lamb on diverse, rotated, chemical-free pastures. We grow our own organic grass and alfalfa to feed throughout the winter months. We give our animals loads of love and a healthy, stress-free environment to live in.
Lamb butchering usually occurs in December and March when they are about 11-16 months old. Lamb are ready for your freezer by mid to late December and/or by April. Indicate when you would prefer it. There are only a couple available for spring 2026.
We recommend going with a whole lamb, as this breed is smaller, and you will have more options and variety when it comes to butcher requests. Note that a half lamb will cost more per pound.
Prices are for hanging weights, which is the weight after the animal has been skinned and eviscerated. See weight ranges and prices below. There is also a $85 "slaughter-cut-wrap" fee per whole, $45 per half. You are welcome to request your own butcher.
