Mushrooms: Blue Oyster
Description
Freshly harvested Blue Oyster mushrooms Uses: Sauté: Rip and slice stalk & cap to use in place of button or cremini mushrooms in pasta sauces, stir-fries, and soups. Grill/Roast: Rip individual mushrooms in half lengthwise, marinate, & grill/roast – tastes like chicken & portobellos, juicy & bursting w/ flavor! Meaty texture is retained when grilled, sauteed, or roasted. Fry: Marinate & fry individual mushrooms for a vegan “calamari” appetizer or Po’ Boy sandwich. Depending on availability, could be substituted or mixed with White Oyster, Black Pearl Oyster, and Phoenix Oyster. We add surcharges to credit card payments to cover processing fees. To avoid these fees, you can pay with cash when you pick up your order. To do so, just send us an email (RunningRootsFarmNY@gmail.com) with what you'd like, and we'll have it ready for you on Sunday! (GrownBy has unfortunately removed the "pay offline" option).

Running Roots Farm is a young, regenerative farm nestled in the northern foothills of the Adirondack mountains. We currently grow a breadth of speciality mushroom and garlic varieties, and are continuing to diversify as we add perennial fruit & vegetable crops. Our mission is to grow delicious, nutrient-dense food for our North Country community through farming practices that revitalize our farm’s meadows, forests, and wetlands.
