Freshly harvested Black Pearl Oyster mushrooms!
These mushrooms are a hybrid between Blue Oyster & King Trumpet mushrooms, with a rich umami flavor and firm, meaty texture that's retained under high heat.
Uses:
Mini-scallops: Slice stalk into small scallops, score with fork, sear & sauté in lemon juice/white wine, garlic, and butter.
Pulled ‘pork’: Finely shred stalk with a fork, marinate, and sauté or roast to use as a pulled “pork” substitute.
Grill/Roast: Rip individual mushrooms in half lengthwise, marinate, & grill/roast – tastes like chicken & portobellos!
