Here are some details about the CSA for the 2026 growing season.
CSA stands for community supported agriculture. A supporter of the CSA will pay up front for a portion of the farm’s harvest, receiving fresh produce weekly and sharing in the farm’s benefits and risks. This means if the melons get eaten by a raccoon, no one gets melons. It also means that if there is a bumper crop of peppers, the CSA members get first dibs. This model fosters local food systems and allows small-scale farmers to exist in a global food market.
Produce subscriptions can be either a half or full share. A half share supplies enough vegetables for 1-2 people and a full share feeds 2-4 people. See the photo for a size comparison between the two shares. Regardless of share size, the produce is supplied weekly and will include:
- 6-12 fresh veggies and herbs. The smaller half share will simply have less of each item, but will still include all the variety of a full share. Ringleberry (Danielle, your farmer) will be growing many different vegetables, from arugula and dill to tomatoes and peppers.
- Weekly newsletter and recipes, including a description of each item in the share and how to use it.
Ringleberry vegetables and herbs are grown using low till, no chemical spray, human powered, and soil building farming techniques. Seeds are sources as locally as possible, starting with neighboring farmers and seed companies first before ever considering seeds from out of state.
Note that we have many pick-up site options, including B.U.G. Farms, but nothing at Ringleberry Farm. With Ringleberry Farm being on leased land shared with many other farmers, an influx of people on site wouldn't be feasible logistically. Danielle is partnering with B.U.G. farms this year for combined farm pick-up spots. Danielle will be running the pick-up at B.U.G., and B.U.G. farmers will be running pick-ups at Wasatch Hollow Park and the Avenues.
What if I cannot pick up one of my shares?
Ringleberry Farm shares cooler space with a number of other small farms and will not be able to hold produce for a different pick up day. This is a great opportunity to build community! Ask a friend or fellow CSA subscriber to pick up for you (informing Danielle before pick-up) or choose to donate your produce bag to local community members in need. Ringleberry Farms is partnered with a local senior center and will donate any excess produce or left behind shares to be used for reduced cost meals.
Contact Danielle to visit the farm, I'd love to have you see where your food is grown! Much love!
