We are repeatedly told that our onions have way better flavor than store-bought onions. In the spring, these bulb onions are harvested fresh and ready for you to eat - they do not store for months when fresh, so go ahead and enjoy them within a few weeks. Starting in mid-June, our onions are completely cured and should last months if stored in a cool dark place. If you're like us, they will be gone in no time! ***Important note*** about Allium Leaf Miners. ALM are a pest of garlic and onions that are difficult to control without spraying. Our onions and garlic were hit pretty hard this year by them. The good news is they usually don’t ruin them - but you may find their small pupae between layers of the garlic or onions. They are tiny and brown and harmless… just remove them and keep on cooking!
