The Dong Nai region of Vietnam is home to several unique bioregions and produces some of our favorite cacao. Dong Nai is rich and dark with notes of citrus, honey, fig, tobacco and tamarind. All of the Vietnamese origins we offer come from Marou Faiseurs De Chocolat. Mauro has the unique ability to visit all of the farms in their network on a monthly basis, cultivating a truly personal relationship. Marou buys beans from farmers well above fair trade level and assists farmers with technical and financial support. Like all Eigen Chocolates this bar is made with ethically traded cacao, sugar certified by the regenerative organic alliance, and compostable packaging.
