Like the torpedo onions from summer, these red onions are so beautiful you might be tempted to leave them on the counter as long as possible. Unlike torpedo onions these do store well, but don't forget to use them while they are at their peak. Rossa di Milano is an excellent cooking onion that contributes just the right balance of sweetness and pungency to any meal.
