In an effort to make our produce more accessible to those facing socioeconomic barriers in the Bloomington community, we sell discounted food in a variety of ways:
-lower cost CSA shares for SNAP participants and low-income households
-half price sales to the Farm to Family Fund
-wholesale rates to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank
This is a small, imperfect thing we do to help create a more fair and equitable food system, in the context of a deeply broken reality. If you are interested in contributing to this cause and helping us to subsidize the true cost of producing local/organic vegetables, please consider donating to our Solidarity Fund.
A donation of $20 would subsidize one CSA pickup for a low-income household.
A donation of $100 would subsidize one CSA pickup for 5 low-income households.
A donation of $200 would subsidize $400 worth of sales to the Farm to Family Fund.
A donation of $400 would subsidize $800 worth of sales to the Farm to Family Fund.
A donation of $800 would cover the cost of a 16 week CSA share for one household or subsidize several weeks of deliveries to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank.
If you'd like to donate a different amount than the options provided, email us at mavourneenfarm@gmail.com and we can set it up for you.
Note that contributions to this Solidarity Fund are NOT tax deductible.
