These plants were donated to the farm. I don't know their origin, but I believe them to be Massachusetts Bearberry. Bearberry is a hardy evergreen shrub that will slowly spread. It loves difficult places like sandy beaches and rocky soils. It has dainty white lantern-shaped flowers. Birds eat the red berries. Deer resistant. Host for several butterfly species.
