Asian version of those long 'telegraph' cucumbers the stores sell wrapped individually in cellophane. Also known as 'burpless' cukes as they are gentler on the tummy. Johnny's Seeds says: "Productive and flavorful long Asian cucumber. The most exceptional parthenocarpic [meaning: not needing pollination to produce fruit] cucumber of its type, delivering high yields of excellent quality cucumbers: sweet, crunchy, and 11–13"" long with notably small seed cavities. Compared to Tasty Jade which it replaced, Nokya has improved yield and powdery mildew resistance, and produces darker green, glossier fruit"." Grow them on a trellis if you want them to stay long and straight (v. curling up, which they have a tendency to do when grown on the ground).
