Thank you so much for your interest in pasture raised chicken from Hidden Penny Farm. We raise delicious, organically fed chicken! Please read all the information below. A week before harvest, we will email you with all of the details of pick up including: our address, the hours you can come to the farm, accepted payment, and a reminder to subtract your deposit when you pay for your chickens. 2026 Harvest Dates: June 9 July 14 August 11 September 8 October 13 November 10 We process under a WSDA Specialty Poultry Permit. This means that all chicken must be sold whole, fresh (never frozen), within 48 hours of slaughter, and sold on the farm where it is processed. When you preorder from us, you are reserving a chicken that will most likely be the freshest chicken you’ll ever eat! Because of the nature of our permitting, we ask that you pre-order your chickens to reserve them. Your deposit is $10/bird and you will deduct it from the final cost of your chickens. You may order up to five chickens a month. Feel free to order chickens for every month, or choose specific months you’d like to purchase chickens in. The final chicken costs $9/lb. The average chicken weights 4.5-5lbs. They are shrink wrapped in freezer safe bags. They are each labeled with their individual weight and cost.
