Lamb shares are available by the half, quarter, or one-eighth of the animal. The meat is vacuum-sealed by our butcher, and frozen in their powerful freezers to ensure excellent quality. A quarter share includes 8-10 lbs. of meat, including a half leg roast, ground lamb, lamb chops, and stew/kebab meat. A half share includes x2 the cuts in a quarter share, plus merguez sausage. A one-eighth share includes 4-5 lbs. of meat, including lamb chops, kebab/stew meat, and ground lamb. Quarter and one-eighth sizes are very manageable for a standard city apartment's freezer; half shares are manageable if you have a little extra room. You can pick up your lamb on Saturday, January 31st, at your local CSA distribution (the Bay Ridge CSA, East Williamsburg CSA, Greenpoint Williamsburg CSA, or Greenwood Heights CSA). You will select your pickup location when you place your order. The order deadline is midnight on Thursday 1/29 for pickup Saturday 1/31.
