Hearty Roots Farm's Pasture-raised pork shares and pasture-raised lamb shares

Pork shares: Pork shares are available by the quarter, half, or whole animal. A quarter pig contains ~35 lbs. of meat that is delivered frozen in two boxes. Each share has a mix of cuts including chops, roasts, smoked ham, ground pork, sausage and bacon. Sausage may include linked sweet Italian, hot Italian, and/or breakfast sausage and/or unlinked breakfast. We will have our butcher cut the meat to our standard preferences. If you purchase a whole or half pig and would prefer to specify your own cut sheet, we can accommodate that if you provide us details by October 15th. Email us at csa@heartyroots.com to request a custom cut sheet. Pigs are processed by Stratton's Custom Meats. Learn more about our pork at https://www.heartyroots.com/pork. Lamb shares: A whole, half, or quarter pasture-raised lamb from our farm. A whole lamb includes about 30–35 lb. of frozen meat, including various lamb chops, a leg roast, meat for kebabs, ground lamb, and shanks. Based on the genetics of the flock and our grazing practices, we expect exquisite flavor! A whole lamb share should take up about a milk crate's worth of space in a freezer. We will have our butcher cut the meat to our standard preferences. If you would prefer to specify your own cut sheet, we can accommodate that if you provide us details by October 15th. Pork and Lamb Share Pickup will take place on Monday, October 26th, 2026, 3-6pm, at the farm. We do not have freezer space to hold shares for late pickup unless you make special arrangements with us ahead of time. Farm pickup required.
