Welcome back !!
We can't wait to begin your Hawkfield Manor Herdshares: 2026 SEASON
Please purchase your herdshare, and we will send you your PDF copy of the 2026 herdshare.
CHANGES THIS YEAR:
-We will only be doing weekly Herdshares, not bi-weekly or bi-monthly any longer. Our apologies as this will affect quite a few of you!
-We will automatically add a $3 donation per jar that we don't receive from you during pickup. This will be added to your total the following week, and we will inform you of your total. This allows us to purchase jars we must have on a weekly basis to fill everyone's orders.
Please look over the new Herdshare agreement and reach out if you have ANY question. Refunds will be made within 1 week if you feel you are unable to agree to all the terms of our herdshare, and would like to exit the herdshare agreement before it goes into effect.
***KNOW ALL ABOUT OUR DAIRY GOAT PRACTICES & FEEDS***
ENVIRONMENT...
We currently have our goats on traditional and silvo pastures for spring/summer/fall where their primary diet is grass, trees, shrubs, etc.
They are moved to "The Goat Wood"...a dry lot of acreage, for 2 months where we feed them hay (no-spray, organically grown). This allows us to monitor their overall health, and facilitate an ideal birthing environment for them.
When in milk, the girls are on a feed ration that includes Black Oil Sunlfower Seeds (BOSS), unmedicated goat pellets, and occasionally NonGMO alfalfa pellets or Alfahay (fermented alfalfa with ACV) which they consume during milking time.
HEALTH OF OUR HERD...
We supplement our goats with minerals, a vitamin complex (Red Cell), & AC Vinegar in their water. They get monthly selenium, and every 3 months are given slow release copper capsules (copper bolus). We only worm on a need-basis using the methods of FAMACHA scoring, body scoring, and stool samples to a lab when needed. We treat body/hoof wounds with Vetricyn.
We have not needed to vaccinate, and we never use hormones. All but 2 of our ladies were born on other farms and purchased by us in the last 1-3 years, so we cannot account for their medical or dietary treatment prior to coming to us, or the farm's/individual's practices - but I can be open and honest about ours so you can make the best decision for your family.
GOATS IN OUR HERD...
We will have 5 ladies in milk for the 2026 season. Odette, Scarlet, Velvet, Eliza, and Poppy. They are all crosses between creamier milk production breeds (Nubian, Nigerian Dwarf, & LaMancha) and standard breeds (Alpine & Toggenburg).
Our girls were all bred to a registered Nigerian Dwarf, Eclipse, from Blomberg Acres.
We have acquired a new buck for the next season, Wiltshire. He is a Mini Nubian, and we are very excited to welcome him at Hawkfield Manor!
HERDSHARES...
We operate with herdshares at our farm. This is a signed agreement that is valid for the year. The volume and pickup day of your share is determined by you and Hawkfield Manor at the time the Herdshare is signed. Clean jars MUST be exchanged every herdshare pickup.

Hawkfield Manor is a small family owned farm in central North Carolina that uses regenerative practices to raise and sustain livestock.
We have provided Grassfed, Grass-finished beef, pasture raised eggs, and pastured non-GMO goat dairy to the RDU and Greensboro areas since 2010.
We are passionate about Regenerative Practices, using Silvo Pasture, rotational grazing, as well as natural alternatives to using antibiotics via preventatives for all our flocks and herds.
Our 6 children join us in pasture management and daily livestock chores, but most importantly they are invested in Hawkfield Manor via partial cattle herd ownership. In so doing, the children daily benefit from our discipleship and training. Our hope is that they in turn will guide the next generation of regenerative ranchers to be passionate in their practices of patience & gentleness, the respect of a life however small, and having characters of integrity.
