Apple Math: 3 medium sized apples equal 1 lb. 1 lb peeled and sliced apples equals 2 3/4 c. 1/2 peck of apples equals 5 - 6 lb or 12 - 15 medium sized apples. 1 peck of apples equals 10 - 12 lb or 35 - 40 medium sized apples. 1 bushel of apples can weigh 42 - 48 lb. 1 bushel of apples will make 15 - 20 qt of applesauce. 1/2 peck yields 5 pt of applesauce. 2 lb of apples equals 3 c of sauce. Each apple variety varies in weight. 1/2 peck makes 2 pies with a few extra apples.
