Our beloved Janey is bringing her famous apricot chutney to the CSA. This Dearth Time batch includes four ingredients straight from the farm: onions, garlic, ginger, and tumeric. Here's what she has to say about this tasty treat: My love for Indian Food inspired this creation back in the 1980's and it's been a staple in my refrigerator ever since, as well as a great gift for friends. This delicious condiment is both sweet & savory—a delicious topper to jazz up chicken, pork, veggie-stuffed baked potatoes and any type of Indian cuisine. It will keep for 1 year+ in your refrigerator, so long as you don't "double dip." This year's chutney was created with much LOVE and features imperfect-but-tasty Full Table Grade B onions that needed to be used swiftly before the summer heat it's took a toll.
