This SIX MONTH (June to November) agricultural training program is an introduction to a fully zero waste food system model. Throughout this course, you will be exposed to closed loop farming systems, entrepreneurship and community stewardship. We will host weekly workshops about food production, nutrition, and preservation. You will be asked to complete entry and exit surveys & video testimonials to understand what students' learned, how they were impacted & if/how they will use what they learned after class.
Participants & instructors will plant seeds & transplants both in ground and in growing towers to produce community meals. Participants will also participate in food distribution events. Processes will be tracked through photos and participants will compare locally grown quality and the taste of store bought.
Participants will attend 3D printer classes to understand the basics of 3D printing & now to print tools that help them grow more food.
