This year we are offering bi-weekly veggie boxes to the Maidstone and Saskatoon communities from early July to mid November. Pickup days will be Mondays in Maidstone and Tuesdays in Saskatoon (again, that’s every second week). The average box will contain 8-12 items and be worth a total value of $50. Nature permitting, our crop plan this year includes: Basil, Beans, Beets, Broccolini, Cabbage, Carrots, Chard, Chives, Cilantro, Cucumbers, Dill, Garlic, Radish, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Onions, Parsley, Peas, Peppers (Jalepeno), Peppers (Sweet), Potatoes, Salad Turnips, Spinach, Squash, Tomatoes (cherry), Tomatoes (slicer) and Zucchini. We also set up a “swap-bin” at each pick-up so that members can trade out 1-2 items.
