This year we are offering bi-weekly veggie boxes to the Maidstone and Lasburn communities starting in early July and ending in mid November. Pickup and deliveries will be on Monday evenings (again, that’s every second week). The average box will contain 8-12 items and be worth a total value of $50. Nature permitting, our crop plan this year includes: Basil, Beans, Beets, Broccolini, Cabbage, Carrots, Chard, Chives, Cilantro, Cucumbers, Dill, Garlic, Radish, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Onions, Parsley, Peas, Peppers (Jalepeno), Peppers (Sweet), Potatoes, Salad Turnips, Spinach, Squash, Tomatoes (cherry), Tomatoes (slicer) and Zucchini. We also set up a “swap-bin” with some different options at each pick-up so that members can trade out 1-2 items. We grow everything using organic methods (ie no synthetic chemicals.)
