This year we are offering bi-weekly veggie boxes to the Saskatoon community starting in early July and ending in mid November. Pickups will be on Tuesday evenings (again, that’s every second week) at the Night Oven Bakery. The average box will contain 8-12 items and be worth a total value of $50. Nature permitting, our crop plan includes: Basil, Beans, Beets, Broccolini, Cabbage, Carrots, Chard, Chives, Cilantro, Cucumbers, Dill, Garlic, Radish, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Onions, Parsley, Peas, Peppers (Jalepeno), Peppers (Sweet), Potatoes, Salad Turnips, Spinach, Squash, Tomatoes (cherry), Tomatoes (slicer) and Zucchini. We also set up a “swap-bin” with some different options at each pick-up so that members can trade out 1-2 items. We grow everything using organic methods (ie no synthetic chemicals.)
