About
A CSA vegetable farm in its 14th production year, right on the outskirts of Philmont, New York. We are Certified Naturally Grown (same growing standards as USDA certified organic) and use regenerative practices. We grow 200 different vegetable varieties, herbs, some fruits, flowers, and make value-added products. We have a little farm store, events, and attend farmers markets.

My husband and I have been CSA members for many years and love everything about them and their farm. Dan and Keri and their team are wonderful people who are kind and hardworking and just great at customer service - they're always there with a smile and love talking about their farm and produce. Their produce is always delicious, high quality and abundant - we don't know how they do it, but they do it really well. We can select anything we want from the CSA and are not limited to what they choose to give you. They are very flexible with pick-up times and locations - it's always a treat to pick up from their farm location and we love their farm store. We highly recommend joining their CSA and if you can't do that, then go buy their product because it's amazing! Cara and Craig

My husband and I have been members of the Common Hands Farm community supported agriculture (CSA) program for nearly a decade. Their produce is certified naturally grown and DELICIOUS! Unlike most CSAs, each week, you get to choose what you want each week from a wide variety; you aren't given a box with vegetables you don't recognize or won't eat.  A few weeks back, I had the opportunity to hear Dan and Keri speak at the Ancram Town Hall and I came away more impressed with them than ever. They are committed to the area, to making sure there is food security for those in need (they donate a great deal), and they have a program for teaching those interested in farming and a very committed staff who return year after year. Small local farms are a definite asset to the community, but the economics of this work means they rely HEAVILY on government loans and their CSA members who provide the upfront cash flow they need to buy seeds and equipment. They must pay their expenses year ‘round, despite having produce to sell only part of the year. They have various options for pick up and you can always visit their well-stocked Claverack/Hillsdale farm store to pick up on another day, as long as you give them a heads-up. I cannot more highly recommend joining the CSA and visiting the farm store whenever you’re in the area!
