My family has enjoyed a CSA share from Cedar Crate Farm for the last several years. We love the variety and quality of the fresh veggies and are always excited to get to try new things - we also appreciate their recipe suggestions to know how to cook new to us produce. It's super easy to add on extra veggies that they have available as well as other things (we've added on other types of shares - like flowers - to round out our crate) through the GrownBy website. It's always fun to interact with Dan and Lara during market days or pick up - they also host us out at the farm for a tour of what they have going on there. It's a great way for us to learn about where our food is coming from and my family really enjoys it! Being able to support local sustainable food is important to us, and it's fun to do when the food is great and you work with great people!

I am a fan of Cedar Crate Farm! I love everything about this business, from the farmers--Dan and Lara--to the seasonal help, to of course the fresh veggies! Do not be intimidated by joining this CSA (community supported agriculture). They are very flexible. You get a choice for your pick-up (or delivery) day, whether you will be out of town and need to "hold" your order, and which veggies you want to order each week. The produce is always very high quality and tasty.

Our family has loved getting out CSA from Cedar Crate Farm! The quality of the produce has been fantastic and they offer a great variety of vegetables. I appreciate that they collaborate with other farmers/vendors to expand their offerings such as flowers, apples, spices, etc. It’s always a pleasure to see them at the local Farmers Market.

We order home delivery from Cedar Crate Farm almost every Friday, and we can't say enough about how fresh and delicious the produce is. We care deeply about the quality of produce we purchase, and are constantly trying to find the freshest options available in our area... Cedar Crate checks all of our boxes for things we value in the food we eat, and an added bonus is how much we look forward to Friday now! We can't wait for our delivery to show up at our home, it's so fun. We recommend them 100%!

I just signed up for CSA this year, but have purchased from Cedar Crate for several years at the farmer's market in summer and winter. They have such a wonderful variety of produce. It's great to get the greens in winter. They are very responsive. Looking forward to my weekly boxes this summer.

We've been full share subscribers with Dan & Lara since their earliest years when they lived in Kasota. They've demonstrated time and again how passionate they are about keeping true to their mission of providing healthy, fresh, and sustainable produce to their customers. I especially appreciate their farm updates. The details they give about why they do what they do on the farm help me understand the process is much more complicated than just planting a seed and hoping it grows. There's an extensive field of knowledge across disciplines required to be a successful CSA farmer! We love the healthy, fresh, delicious veggies we purchase from Cedar Crate Farm! Dan, Lara & their team work hard to provide a great variety of high quality produce. They’re very responsive to questions & always welcome us with a friendly smile when we arrive to pick up our share. They’re such a wonderful family & it feels great to support local!

My husband and I have been CSA members with Cedar Crate for several (5?) years, and I highly recommend it. The half share is the perfect amount for us and our two small children. The variety and quality of produce is excellent. Dan and Lara do a great job making members feel valued and included. They respond quickly, send out emails, personally greet us each week, and provide recipes. I love that we can update our preferences and easily swap items for each share. Can't wait for another season of fresh, local foods!

We've been buying produce from Cedar Crate Farm for a number of years at the Mankato Farmer's Market, and the value is unsurpassed. The downside is that if you ever find yourself having to buy produce from the grocery store, you're going to be very disappointed. Dan and Lara know what they're doing, and it shows in the quality and variety of the produce they have to offer. Finally, Dan, Lara, and the rest of their crew are fine human beings!

I had the privilege to work for this farm all of last summer. I packed many CSA shares last summer, and I can confidently say that the quality of the produce going into those shares is unmatched. I highly recommend signing up for their CSA share!

Love, love, love the produce from Cedar Crate Farm and the information Dan and Lara share about growing it. My favorites are fresh spinach and the lettuce mixes for delicious salads, now available much of the year, even in Minnesota. My husband loves the carrots. (I do too.) We also buy beets, potatoes, corn, popcorn and more. It's always tasty and beautiful. Very fresh.
