Flex CSA - Vegetable Debit Account
Description
*If you need a payment plan for this share, please email us and we will set up 3 custom invoices through April 29. * Our 2026 Flex CSA program will run from April 29 through November 25. Members of the Flex CSA pay for a vegetable credit that they can debit from each time they wish to make a vegetable purchase. Flex CSA members can pick up produce on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. All CSA members, both standard and flex, have the option to place orders online through GrownBy. This allows them to reserve vegetables that are in high demand, such as lettuce mix and cherry tomatoes. Flex CSA members have freedom to choose which weeks they want to buy produce, and how many items to buy each time. This share is perfect for those who travel often during the summer, are more likely to cook at different times of the growing season, have a varying household size throughout the season, or prefer the spring/fall vegetables over the summer vegetables. All Flex CSA vegetable credits remaining after Nov. 25 will be donated to the Canticle Farm Franciscan Food Pantry Program.

Canticle Farm, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in 2001 in Allegany, NY, by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany (FSA) as a ministry to the local community to provide fresh, healthy, locally grown food using sustainable farming methods without the use of synthetic or chemical applications. We have two locations: our original production farm at 3835 S. Nine Mile Road, and our market and community garden at 3809 Old State Road, directly across the Allegheny River from our original farm. Our philosophy is based on FSA’s concept of guidance through a justice-focused purpose using a model of land preservation that produces safe, naturally grown produce for all people. The Franciscan tradition is fully revealed in Canticle Farm’s symbiotic farming practices, stewardship and respect for land, and loving care for the health of the greater community’s citizens. All practices and operations of the farm are embodied in fulfilling the mission and providing for the food security and health of the area’s families, along with educational opportunities. We also donate produce to a wide variety of organizations engaged in alleviating food insecurity throughout Cattaraugus and Allegany counties in NY, and McKean County in PA, through our Franciscan Food Pantry Program, which is supported by grants and donations from religious groups and societies, local organizations, individuals and friends of the farm.
