Khabar Garlic was collected from Khabarovsk, Siberia by Alaskan grower Bob Ellis. This unique strain brings together the cold-hardy character of Siberian garlic with the beautiful coloration and complex flavor profile that Marbled Purple Stripes are known for. Khabar has a wonderfully versatile flavor profile. When baked, it becomes mild and creamy, making it an excellent choice for mashed potatoes, roasted garlic dishes, and other comfort foods. Raw, it offers a pleasant garlic flavor with a gentle heat that gradually builds into a burst of rich flavor.
