Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project (ANV) exists to elevate the lives of youth and their families in Oakland and beyond by challenging oppressive systems through urban farming and meaningful access to the natural world. Founded and led primarily by women and people of color, ANV creates safe, vibrant outdoor spaces where young people and families can learn, grow, and thrive. Through hands-on experiences, we deepen youth understanding of nutrition, food production, healthy living, and environmental stewardship - while strengthening their connection to community, culture, and self.
