Our happy pasture-raised hens get a lot of time (all day) in the sunshine eating bugs & grass. Their eggs are ‘dirty but clean’. This means we do not wash your eggs, but we clean them off with a sanding sponge. This technique keeps the natural antibacterial coating called the “bloom.” Washing eggs with water removes the bloom and sparks bacteria to grow.
